Barth Bakery
Fruit Salad with Honey Lime Dressing
Updated: Apr 28, 2022
This has been my go-to signature side dish for family gatherings for years. This incredibly refreshing fruit salad is perfect as a summer dessert, side dish, or breakfast, and has never failed to be a huge hit. With a beautiful blend of fresh, juicy summer fruit topped with a bright honey lime yogurt dressing, this quick and easy fruit salad is bursting with flavor. The light dressing leaves plenty of room for the fruit the shine and perfectly complements the natural sweetness of the fruit, while the walnuts add a nice crunch for texture. With a rainbow of color and the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, this vibrant and gorgeous salad is an easy way to get kids (and picky adults!) to eat (and love!) fruit.

Ingredients
Honey Lime Yogurt Dressing
1 cup vanilla yogurt
¼ cup fresh lime juice
2 tsp fresh lime zest
¼ cup honey
Fruit Salad
4 cups cantaloupe, balled
4 cups honeydew, balled
3 cup strawberries, quartered
2 cups seedless red grapes
1½ cups blueberries
2 green apples, cubed
1 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions
Honey Lime Yogurt Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt, lime juice, lime zest, and honey. Set aside.
Fruit Salad
In a large bowl, combine all of the prepared fruits. Feel free to get creative with your fruit choices. Other ideas include pineapple, papaya, kiwi, clementines, raspberries, mango, and pomegranate. (Tip to prevent the apples from browning: Soak the apple cubes in 1 tablespoon of lime juice per 1 cup of water for 5 minutes. Then rinse the apples and add to the fruit salad.)
Cover the dressing and fruit separately, and chill separately until ready to serve. When ready to serve, pour the dressing over the fruit and stir well to evenly coat. Sprinkle with walnuts, and serve.
