Cheddar Beef Dog Cookies

  • 3 cups whole-wheat flour

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 tsp beef bouillon granules

  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 large egg, beaten

Cheddar Beef Dog Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, cheese, and bouillon granules.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the beef broth, milk, and egg.

  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix together until well combined and a dough forms.

  5. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead the dough until smooth and no longer sticky. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out to ½-inch thickness. Cut the dough with a cookie cutter of your choice and place on the prepared baking sheets.

  6. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. Remove the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
