I used a heart shaped cookie cutter, though any shape can be used.
Ingredients
Sweet Potato Dog Biscuits
4 oz pureed sweet potato baby food
1½ cups + 2 Tbsp whole-wheat flour
½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
2 Tbsp maple syrup
2 large eggs, beaten (keep separate)
Directions
Sweet Potato Dog Biscuits
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the sweet potato, flour, oats, maple syrup, and one egg together.
Press the dough into a ball and transfer to a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough 8-10 times.
Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out to ¼-inch thickness. Cut the dough with a cookie cutter of your choice and place on the prepared baking sheets.
Lightly brush the tops of the cookies with the other beaten egg.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack.
