2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ cup salted butter, softened

1 cup slivered almonds
Directions
Almond Joy Cookies
Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray two large baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray or line with a baking mat or parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt until combined; set aside.
In a large bowl using an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugars. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla until just incorporated.
Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until incorporated. Then use a rubber spatula to gently fold in the chocolate chips, coconut, and almonds.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until very lightly browned at the edges. Allow the cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
