Celebrate your four-legged best friend’s birthday in style with these tasty and adorable homemade pupcakes! This quick and simple dog-friendly recipe is full of wholesome ingredients to keep your dog happy and healthy. With grated apples and yogurt to keep the cakes ultra-moist, honey to add natural sweetness, and cheddar cheese which most dogs can’t resist, these delightful goodies will be gobbled up by your pampered pup in no time.

Makes 12
¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
⅓ cup vegetable or canola oil
2 Tbsp honey
2 large eggs
1½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup apple, shredded
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
2 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp plain Greek yogurt
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a standard muffin tin with paper or silicone cupcake liners.
In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, oil, honey, and eggs.
In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, and baking powder.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until evenly moistened. Then gently fold in the shredded apples and cheddar.
Evenly divide the batter among the cavities of the prepared pan, filling the cups about ¾ full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove the cakes from the muffin tin and cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
Using an electric handheld mixer, beat together the cream cheese, honey, and yogurt until light and creamy.
Pipe or spread the frosting on top of the cooled pupcakes and decorate as desired. Then let your pup enjoy!
